Hardee’s commercial features Sanford biscuit-maker.

A few weeks ago I did a story about Carolyn Redding, the award winning biscuit maker from the Hardees on Horner Blvd. who went to Cali to record a commercial.

I don’t watch TV too often, so I decided to look the commercial up online.

Hardee’s biscuits played an important role in my childhood. I’d do just about anything for a Hardee’s gravy biscuit when I was a kid, and not much has changed. I praised the invention of the Thickburger, and use my student discount (free fries and drink with a purchase of a Thickburger… the best perk of being a college student, ever) a bit too often… so this story was really awesome to me.

Couldn’t manage a direct link or embed, since the website is all hyped up on flash and stuff. But this’ll get you there.

The name of the spot is “Burglar,” and it’s great!

The commercial came on tonight, and I started shouting at my husband, “LOOK JASON- That lady is from SANFORD!” He didn’t believe me, and I had already recycled that edition of the Herald. Now I can show him this post. Good work! :)
